Annual Leave Promotion Targets and Quantities
If annual leave is granted based on the fiscal year, annual leave promotion is conducted between July 1-10 for employees who received annual leave on the current year's fiscal date. For example, if Hong Gildong joined mid-year in July 2024, they will receive annual leave proportional to their working period on the first fiscal date (January 1) after joining. Hong Gildong, who joined mid-year in 2024, is a target for the July 2025 annual leave promotion.
The annual leave promotion quantity is based on the employee's remaining annual leave as of the date the promotion is conducted. Employees who receive a leave usage plan request can hover over the question mark icon at the top of the document to see detailed information about annual leave received and remaining this year.

If the annual leave quantity in the employee's leave overview differs from the promoted annual leave quantity, please check the following first. Also, verify whether the promotion document sent to the employee is an annual leave promotion, 1st monthly leave promotion, or 2nd monthly leave promotion by checking the Attendance Management - Leave Management - Annual Leave Promotion tab. If it's an annual leave promotion, check whether they actually hold annual leave; if it's a 1st or 2nd monthly leave promotion, check whether they held monthly leave at the time the promotion plan document was sent by reviewing the employee's annual leave details and leave history.
In the employee's annual leave detail screen, hover over the [Remaining] column to check the leave types that make up the leave count.
For mid-year hires, monthly leave is granted and expires based on the employee's [hire date], so the leave overview screen shows the total including monthly leave quantity. Since the July 2025 annual leave promotion is based on [annual leave] quantity granted on the fiscal date, the annual leave quantity shown in the leave overview may differ from the promoted annual leave quantity.
Hovering over the number in the remaining column in the annual leave details shows the types of leave currently held. As shown in the example image below, while the employee currently holds 19 total leave days, 11 are monthly leave and 8 are annual leave. Therefore, the promotion was conducted for only the 8 remaining annual leave days.

If you want to check the promotion quantity per employee before the annual leave promotion, go to the left menu [Attendance Management] -> [Leave Management] -> [Leave Holdings] tab, click the download button at the top right, and download [Leave History]. However, please note that if employees use (register) annual leave before the promotion plan document is sent, there may be some discrepancy from the expected quantity!
Set the leave type to Annual Leave, the inquiry period from January 1 (fiscal date) to December 31 of the current year. Then select all employees for the organization, set employment status to all, and include monthly aggregation in the aggregation scope before downloading.
Open the downloaded leave history file to see the period aggregation sheet and monthly sheet. In this file, you can check the annual leave and monthly leave quantities granted in the current year per employee, as well as remaining days by period and month. The promoted annual leave quantity is based on the remaining days as of July 1 (or July 5 or 10) after subtracting used quantities from the annual leave granted on the current year's fiscal date.

Even if annual leave expiration is set to expire after N months instead of 1 year, the promotion is determined by how many annual leave days the employee held as of the date the promotion was conducted. In other words, the promotion quantity is the employee's remaining annual leave as of the time the annual leave promotion is conducted. You can check how many annual leave days an employee holds by hovering over the number in the remaining column in annual leave details, or by downloading the leave history to check remaining annual leave quantities.
Also, please note that annual leave promotion is conducted based on the statutory annual leave expiration date (1 year expiration), while the actual employee annual leave expiration follows the expiration deferral policy set by the administrator.

If you additionally granted or deducted annual leave through the annual leave adjustment feature, the remaining annual leave quantity changes, so it does affect the annual leave promotion quantity.
