Notice: HomeTax ID Login Two-Factor Authentication Update and Integration Guide (Effective 2025.07.31)

Updated yesterday

Hello, this is the flex team.

Thank you for using flex.

Starting July 31, 2025, HomeTax will mandate two-factor authentication for ID-based logins to enhance personal information protection. As a result, clients currently integrated with HomeTax via the ID/PW method (ID/password entry method) may experience login integration failures after this date. We recommend reviewing the information below and taking action accordingly.

1. Key Changes

  • Effective date: July 31, 2025 (Thu)

  • Affected: Clients using ID/PW method for HomeTax integration

  • Change details: Two-factor authentication will be added for HomeTax ID/PW logins.

2. Recommended Actions

① Switch to joint certificate integration method (Recommended)

  • Register a joint certificate on the [Integrate Financial Institution] screen to proceed with integration

  • This enables stable financial institution data collection without integration failures.

② If continuing with ID/PW method, disable two-factor authentication and re-integrate

  • After July 31, disable two-factor authentication directly on the HomeTax website, then re-integrate

  • If not disabled, data collection will be disrupted due to login errors.
