This can be used when you need to check the annual leave count based on hire date and fiscal date to calculate unused annual leave pay for an employee whose resignation date has been set.
Setting the Resignation Date
Once the employee's resignation date has been determined, please set the resignation date using the method below.
If the resignation date is a future date, the employee will be set as a scheduled retiree.
Go to the employee's profile - click the three dots button on the right - select Process Resignation.
Checking Remaining Annual Leave
Required Permissions: Administrators who have been granted all [Leave]-related permissions, or [Leave View] + [Leave Edit] + [Annual Leave Policy and Promotion Management] + [Custom Leave Management] permissions can use the remaining annual leave adjustment feature for current and former employees.
Once the resignation date is set, go to Attendance Management → Leave Management → Leave Holdings → click the Annual Leave Adjustment button on the right → select Remaining Annual Leave Adjustment for Former Employees.
When selecting the lookup target in the former employee remaining annual leave adjustment, set the resignation date of the retiree you want to look up and click Start Adjustment.
If you are using fiscal date-based granting, you can check the granting based on hire date (Labor Standards Act basis) / fiscal date (company policy basis) as shown in the image below.
Calculation based on hire date (Labor Standards Act basis)
Annual leave is generated after 1 year or more of service based on hire date.
Calculation based on fiscal year (company policy basis)
Annual leave is generated for all employees based on the company's fiscal year (e.g., January 1).
To settle unused annual leave pay, check both criteria and complete the settlement using the criterion that is more favorable to the employee.
Favorable Principle Application
Whichever of the above two methods is more favorable to the employee must be applied. However, even if the annual leave granted based on company policy exceeds that under the Labor Standards Act (hire date basis), if the rules of employment state that 'settlement will be recalculated based on the Labor Standards Act (hire date basis) upon retirement', settlement can be based on the Labor Standards Act.
For example, if Hong Gildong retires and received 45 days based on the fiscal year and 43 days based on the Labor Standards Act (hire date basis), the fiscal year basis is more favorable. However, if the rules of employment include a recalculation clause, final settlement can apply 43 days (Labor Standards Act basis) without issue.
