The New Look of Performance Management (Goals, Reviews)

Updated today

flex's Goals and Review features have been updated to the new Goals and Reviews!

Let's take a look at how the existing Goals and Review features have changed :)

How are the New Goals different?

Organization Head

Organization heads who manage organizational goals can now clearly view and efficiently manage the goals of the entire organization.

View goals across multiple organizations at a glance and experience convenient goal management tailored to your organization's characteristics!

1. Clear distinction between company, organization, and individual goals

  • Previously, there was no distinction between company/organization goals and individual goals, making it impossible to manage situations where members linked goals in inappropriate structures.

  • Now, only organization heads can create organization goals, and organization goals and individual goals are clearly separated.

  • Organization heads can clearly define organization goals and link members' individual goals underneath, encouraging team members to focus on achieving organizational goals.

  • When linking parent/child goals for organization goals, the system recommends the most relevant goals based on the organization's information.

2. Flexible goal visibility settings

  • Previously, you could not freely set the visibility scope of goals, so if you wanted a goal visible only within your organization, you had to manually assign all organization members as participating members.

  • Now, even private organization goals are automatically visible to organization members, and can be shared with members of parent/child organizations when needed.

  • Even if organization members are transferred, the goal visibility scope automatically updates to match the new organization. There's no need to manually update visibility settings every time there's an organizational change.

3. Convenient goal navigation screen

  • Previously, to check the goal status of our organization members or other organizations, you had to apply filters and change the responsible organization and owner each time.

  • Now, with quick selection for organizations and members, you can easily and quickly check the goal status of your organization members and even other organizations.

4. Easy member goal management

  • Organization heads can create goals on behalf of subordinate members, and can also edit and update goals created by subordinate members. You can create individual goals aligned with the organization's direction and manage them accordingly.

Members

Members who execute goals can now set goals more freely and share them clearly.

View everything from organization goals to individual goals in one flow, and share individual goals clearly!

1. Flexible periods and visibility settings

  • Previously, you could not flexibly set goal periods and had to create goals within predetermined timeframes.

  • Now, you can set goal periods based on pre-configured goal cycles that match your company's policies.

  • If desired, you can enter your own start and end dates to create individual goals with appropriate timeframes.

  • Also, when setting a goal to private, even the organization head could not see it, requiring you to register the organization head as a participating member every time.

  • Now, organization heads can view members' goals by default.

  • If desired, you can make goals visible to organization members or selectively share them with specific people, enabling visibility settings appropriate for each goal's characteristics.

2. Detailed goal sharing through file attachments

  • Previously, when writing detailed content for goals or sharing progress through comments, you could only use text.

  • Now, you can attach files when creating goals to share the background, importance, and other details more thoroughly.

  • When leaving comments on goals, you can attach related files to better explain work results and goal achievement status. (Coming soon)

3. Customizable goal navigation screen

  • Previously, you could only view goals by year, so you had to see past half-year/quarterly goals together. Also, the goal list had insufficient information, requiring you to click on goal details to check the content.

  • Now, you can view only the goals for the desired period based on goal cycles.

  • The information available in the list has become more diverse, and you can show or hide the information you want.

  • Settings you configure once are saved so you can view them the same way on your next login.

The concept of goal agreement has been removed.

  • The concept of 'goal agreement' that was always required when conducting goal-linked reviews has been removed. Administrators can choose whether to conduct a 'performance evaluation' when creating a review, and members can easily conduct goal-linked reviews (= performance evaluation) by directly entering the performance to be evaluated or by linking individual goals :)

How are the New Reviews different?

The Review menu has now changed to 'Reviews'. The review results you've received can be found in My Profile - Reviews tab, and submitted review content can be checked in the To-do list.

Checking past reviews

  • When the New Reviews update is applied, the [Review] menu on the left will disappear. The review results you've been shared can be checked in the [My Profile] - [Reviews] tab.

  • Reviews you've written and submitted can be found through the [Home Feed] - [To Do] - [Tasks] tab [Review Writing Request] task category filter.

Checking review item announcements and writing review items

  • When conducting a competency evaluation, you can check the competencies you will be evaluated on.

  • In the New Reviews, 'goal agreement' has been removed. Instead, members can directly enter performance to be evaluated or select competencies they want to be evaluated on to configure review items.
Also, when selecting performance items, you can use the Goal Linking feature to pull in goals where you are registered as an owner/participant, and directly select those goals as review items!

  • The review writing screen has also changed. Before writing the review form, you can check the review instructions left by the administrator and write reviews on various topics such as competencies and performance.

  • You can also write reviews and designate peer reviewers more conveniently on the mobile app.

  • Review results are organized into reports and shared. You can check the grade summary and comprehensive assessment together to understand review results more easily.
