By configuring an automatic assignment policy that matches your company's employee ID system, the system will automatically generate IDs according to your rules when registering new members — no manual entry required.
💡 Recommended for
• Companies that use different employee ID formats by group (e.g., full-time / contract / intern)
• Companies where manually calculating IDs for many new hires is time-consuming
• Companies that frequently re-upload Excel files due to ID typos or duplicates
Creating an Automatic Employee ID Assignment Policy
Add a policy via Settings > HR & Member Information > Automatic Employee ID Assignment Policy > click + Add Policy.
Set the target conditions. You can define conditions — such as job type or contract type — to determine which members this policy applies to.
Set the employee ID rule. You can freely combine text, hire year/month, and a sequential number.
Example: CMK + YYYY + 000 → CMK2026001In Sequential number settings, choose the assignment method that fits your company policy.
Adding a memo lets other administrators easily understand the intent of the policy.
💡 Usage tip
If your company has separate employee ID systems for different groups (e.g., full-time, contract, part-time), create a separate policy for each group. As long as the new hire's contract type and job information are entered correctly, the appropriate employee ID will be automatically generated according to policy priority.

Managing Policies
You can manage created policies as follows:
Active toggle: Enable or disable the policy
Duplicate: Easily create a similar policy
Reorder: When a member matches multiple policy conditions simultaneously, the policy at the top of the list takes priority.
⚠️ Note
Only users with HR information management permission can configure automatic employee ID assignment policies.
Automatic Employee ID Assignment When Registering Members
When at least one automatic assignment policy is active, the employee ID input field on the member registration screen changes to "Auto-generation active." As member information is entered, an employee ID is automatically assigned according to the matching policy rules. This works the same across all registration methods:
Individual registration
Bulk registration (including Excel upload)
Adding a single member from Recruiting
💡 Bulk registration tip
When uploading via Excel, simply leave the employee ID column blank. The system will automatically assign sequential numbers in order of hire date. This eliminates the typos and duplicate errors from manually calculating serial numbers that used to cause re-uploads.

When Employee IDs Are Not Auto-Assigned
Even with a policy configured, there are cases where an employee ID may not be automatically assigned. The system will display the reason on the spot.
The member does not meet the conditions of any policy
The number of digits in the sequential number has been exceeded
Auto-assignment failure notification screen
On the bulk registration screen, a notification appears at the top: "Some members were not automatically assigned an employee ID." You can immediately review the affected members and rules by clicking the Check members without ID / Check ID rules button.
