Part-time/reduced-hour workers — just remember these two things:
Set up a separate work type for part-time workers.
For part-time workers, decide what to set for the weekly holiday hours and the reference hours per day of leave!
Setting Up and Applying a Work Type for Part-time Workers
Go to [Settings] → [Work Types] → [Add Type], select the [work method] applicable to these workers, then in the basic settings under Worker Type, select [Part-time Work].
For part-time workers working fewer than 40 hours per week but with different hours on different days, use the [Per-day Work Settings] feature! Click [+ Per-day Work Settings] in the top right.
You can see the work hours and recommended break time configured in the basic settings.
To add different work hours from the basic settings, click [+ Add Work Hours] on the left.
Using per-day work hour settings, you can configure the following example:
Monday: start 9:00–11:00 AM, work 6 hours then end
Tuesday: start 10:00–11:00 AM, work 4 hours then end
Wed–Fri: start 10:00–11:00 AM, work 6 hours then end
In [Reference Hours per Day], you can set the weekly holiday hours and the reference hours used per day of leave.
What are weekly holiday hours and the reference hours per day of leave?
For example, if a worker works only 3 hours per day, 5 days a week, the weekly holiday and reference hours per day of leave are determined to be 3 hours. This feature is used when, for a specific reason, you want weekly holiday or leave to be deducted at 8 hours (or another number) instead of the daily prescribed work hours.
It can also be used for workers on pregnancy-period reduced hours where leave should be granted on an 8-hour basis!
With the above settings, using 1 day of leave deducts 5 hours 36 minutes based on the proportional calculation.
Use the [Direct Input] feature to set exactly how many hours are deducted when 1 day of leave is registered. :)
After completing all recording settings for the work type, apply it to the relevant members. Go to each member's [Member Profile] → [Change Work Info] and select the [part-time configured work type] to apply.
Be sure to select the apply date as the date the part-time work should take effect.
