You can configure your company's organizational structure! In the flex org chart settings, you can schedule future organization changes and preview what the organization will look like when applied.
Only administrators with the [Company HR Info Management] permission can configure this.
Org Chart Settings
Click the [Settings] menu → [HR & Member Info] → [Org Chart] tab.
Click the [+] button in the top right, type the organization name, and press Enter to add an organization.
Added organizations can be moved by drag-and-drop or by hovering over them and clicking the three-dot button on the right.
Click the three-dot button to rename, move, hide, or delete an organization. Using the hide option, you can make a created organization private so that regular members (non-administrators) cannot see it.
Organizations added in the org chart settings are very important for the nth-level team lead and visual org chart features. Please add and manage organizations according to your company's hierarchy. (Understanding the flex Approval Structure)
Advanced Organization Settings
To set or edit the start and end dates of an organization, click the three-dot button in the top right of the org chart settings → click [Advanced Settings] to configure the usage period per organization.
Setting the Org Chart Effective Date (Scheduling an Org Restructure)
Are you planning a major organizational change in the first or second half of the year?
With flex's org change scheduling and preview feature, you can see in advance what your organization will look like after the restructure.
Click [Effective Date] in the top left and set it to the planned restructure date.
What is the effective date? It determines when the edited org names, hierarchy, etc. take effect.
If you want to apply the changes immediately today, leave [Effective Date] as-is and apply the changes.
If you want to apply the changes in the future, set [Effective Date] to a future date.
If there is anything you want to note about the org change, enter it in the memo field.
After adding the restructured organizations, click [Save] to schedule the org change.
You can check whether an org change is scheduled by clicking [Change Scheduled] in the top right of the org chart settings, or by clicking [Org Chart Change History] in the Members menu.
View the scheduled org chart and click [Edit Scheduled Change] to modify the planned org chart.
Clicking an org change history item in the left list lets you view all past org changes at once.
Both the currently active org chart and scheduled org charts can be edited or deleted.
To edit, you can click [Edit Schedule] in the org change history, or directly select the effective date in the org chart settings to edit.
To cancel a scheduled change, click [Delete Schedule].
Assigning Members to a Future Organization
In the left menu, click [Member Management] → [HR Info Management] → [HR Reassignment] tab → [Reassign] in the top right.
You can see the organizations scheduled to take effect on August 1. Assign each member to the upcoming restructured organization.
You can see that the reassignment is [Scheduled]. Hover over it and click [Cancel] to cancel the scheduled reassignment.
By directly assigning members to the scheduled future organization, you can preview what the future org will look like, as shown in the image below.
Selecting a future reference date lets you see what the org will look like once currently scheduled reassignments and org changes are applied.
You can verify that there are no errors in the org change or reassignment schedule.
