Writing and Submitting Evaluations

How members check evaluation item notices, write evaluation items when requested, write evaluation forms, and submit them.

Members can write and submit evaluations requested by administrators.

Depending on the evaluation settings configured by the administrator, some steps may not apply!

Checking the Evaluation Item Notice

  • If the administrator confirms evaluation items without requesting members to write them, notifications are sent via in-product alerts, mobile push, email, and Slack with the message: Please check the items to be evaluated in {evaluation title}.

    • Members can check the evaluation items they will be assessed on for this evaluation.

Checking and Writing Evaluation Item Requests

  • When the administrator sends an evaluation item writing request, members receive notifications via to-dos, in-product alerts, and email asking them to write the items they will be evaluated on.

  • Click the notification or to-do to view the evaluation elements and their weights for this evaluation. Under [Optional Competencies], you can select which competencies to be assessed on.

  • Under [Performance Items] at the bottom, click the input field to enter your performance directly, or click [Link Goal] to import performance from the [Goals] menu.

    • For performance evaluations, you can enter your achievements directly or import goals for which you are the goal owner or participant via goal linking.

    • However, depending on your company's evaluation policy, directly entered performance items may be restricted from evaluation — please check administrator or team lead announcements or guidelines before writing evaluation items.

  • If you click Submit without selecting performance items or optional competencies, red indicators appear along with the reason for each unconfigured item.

  • When writing evaluation items, an administrator-triggered "approval" may occur. Evaluation items written by members are confirmed after the approver's approval.

  • If you need to revise submitted evaluation items, click [Home Feed] → [To-Do] → [Things to Do], click [Filter] in the top right, select [Evaluation Item Writing Request], then click the displayed evaluation item writing request.

  • Then click [Cancel Submission] at the bottom to revise and resubmit.

Checking Evaluation Writing Requests

  • When the administrator sends an evaluation writing request, evaluators can check it via email, in-product notifications, and to-dos as shown below.

Writing an Evaluation

  • Click the to-do or notification to view the evaluation form.

    • Click [Evaluation Guide] in the top right of the evaluation writing screen to see the guidance notes left by the administrator. Be sure to read the guidance before filling out the form!

  • Click the icons in the top right to access the following features:

    • Reference materials icon: choose whether to view reference materials alongside the evaluation or keep them collapsed.

    • View results together icon: see other evaluators' results directly in the evaluation table while evaluating.

    • Wide view icon: expand the evaluation writing screen for a wider view.

  • If the administrator enabled [Reference Materials] in the evaluation settings, the [Reference Materials] tab on the right shows the following information:

    • Other evaluation stages: view results from other stages in this evaluation.

    • Past evaluation reports: view past evaluation reports received by the evaluatee.

    • Recognition & Feedback: view recognition and feedback received by the evaluatee.

  • If there are 2 or more evaluatees to evaluate in the same stage, you can view the evaluatee list in the [Evaluatees] panel on the left and click each to write their evaluation.

  • For evaluators conducting a downward 2nd-level or higher evaluation, the input screen displays the downward 1st-level evaluation results and grade distribution for each member.

  • You can confirm the 1st-level evaluator's results as-is, or click the grade/score input field for each evaluation element to adjust the grade or score.

  • When evaluating multiple evaluatees in one stage, click [Check Grade Distribution] in the top right of the evaluation screen to view the grade distribution of the evaluatees you've evaluated so far.

  • If the evaluation form includes a "Performance Evaluation" element and the member linked their goals, click [Linked Goals] to view the goals selected by the evaluatee while evaluating.

  • Evaluations are auto-saved in real time. Click [Submit Evaluation] at the bottom right to submit the completed form.

  • If the submission deadline hasn't passed but you want to review or revise a submitted evaluation, select [Home Feed] → [To-Do] → [Evaluation Writing Request filter].

  • Click the evaluation you want to review or revise.

  • If the writing period has not ended, click [Edit] at the bottom right to revise the submitted evaluation.


FAQ

How do I cancel (undo) a submission deadline close?

Click the [Cancel Submission Deadline] button on the [Operations Home] screen to remove the deadline close. (See image below)

Can I write an evaluation on mobile?

Yes, you can complete evaluations on mobile.

You can access the evaluation form through app notifications or to-dos!

However, evaluation settings cannot be configured on mobile — only the evaluation form can be filled out!
