Hello, this is the flex team. Thank you for always using flex.
To improve the efficiency of the recruitment process and applicant convenience, and to comply with the latest personal information protection guidelines,
the personal information collection method on the [Apply for Job Posting] screen will be changed.
Please refer to the details below for your reference.
1. Background of the Change
According to the recently amended Personal Information Protection Act and the guidelines of the Personal Information Protection Commission, the principle is that personal information essential for service contracts and their fulfillment (such as conducting recruitment processes) should be collected and used based on 'legal grounds' rather than 'separate consent from the data subject'.
Accordingly, flex is improving the procedure that required unnecessary consent (such as forcing mandatory checkbox checks) from applicants,
in order to comply with legitimate collection principles based on legal grounds.
* Reference: Personal Information Protection Commission - Personal Information Protection Guidelines (attached below) pp.7, 16 - Minimum personal information necessary for recruitment processes can be collected without consent from the data subject." (p.16) - "Caution against obtaining unnecessary consent for information needed for service contracts"
2. Key Changes
The existing [Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information (Required)] checkbox and the [Matters Regarding Entrustment of Personal Information Processing] section at the bottom will be consolidated and simplified.
Category | Before | After |
Collection Method | Applicant directly consents via mandatory checkbox | Checkbox removed, replaced with informational notice |
Screen Layout | ① Collection consent form (with checkbox) | ① Consolidated into 'Notice on Collection and Use of Personal Information' (view only) |
Sensitive Information | Consent for sensitive information collection (mandatory check) | No change |
