flex provides an automatic leave granting system designed for businesses with 5 or more employees to easily manage annual leave.
For businesses with fewer than 5 employees, you can use the methods below.
Managing Annual Leave for Companies with Fewer Than 5 Employees
Setting the Leave Grant Start Date to a Future Date
Go to [Settings] - [Annual Leave Settings] - [Leave Policy Settings] - [Leave Grant Method] - [Grant Start Date] and set it to a future date.
flex's automatic leave granting calculates annual/monthly leave based on the employee's hire date from the grant start date. If you set the grant start date to a future date, granting will not begin, which is useful when a business with fewer than 5 employees does not want to grant annual leave.
However, when using this method, since no annual leave is granted, usage records will not be reflected either.
Tip
If you want to grant paid leave (not statutory annual leave), create a leave policy through Custom Leave → Grant it so employees can use and manage it.

What Should I Do When My Company Grows to 5 or More Employees?
If your business has grown from fewer than 5 to 5 or more employees, you must start granting annual leave from the moment you reach 5 or more employees.
In this case, if you change the leave grant start date setting, annual leave will be automatically granted based on the grant start date and employee hire dates. Change the grant start date to the date when your company reached 5 or more employees, then adjust the annual/monthly leave counts. Note: Changing the hire date to the date when your company reached 5+ employees is NOT recommended, as it may cause employee attendance and leave data to be lost.
Leave adjustments can be made through individual employee adjustments or bulk adjustments.
Individual Employee Adjustment Method
Go to [Employee's Annual Leave Detail Page] - Click the [Adjustment] column.
Adjustment Application Date: Determines the date when the leave adjustment takes effect.
Leave Type: Choose between monthly leave and annual leave granted to the employee. If the employee has been with the company for more than 1 year, the monthly leave adjustment button will not be displayed.
Adjustment Hours: You can add or deduct leave. Input is available in 'day' units.
Bulk Adjustment for Multiple Employees
Go to [Attendance Management] - [Leave Management] - [Leave Balance] - [Leave Adjustment] - Click [Adjust Leave] button. Check adjustment values and remaining counts, click [Apply] in the upper right, enter the adjustment reason (required), then click Confirm.
Tip
Annual leave grants and deductions can also be adjusted all at once through Excel adjustment.
The bulk leave adjustment feature supports one adjustment per employee. Filter the target employees for adjustment and enter the category/adjustment values.
