Creating Review Templates

Updated today

By creating templates for reviews, you can quickly create reviews without having to create review questions every time.

Review management permission is required to create review templates.

  • Go to [Reviews] -> [Review Management] -> click the three dots in the top right, [Create Question Template].

  • Templates labeled [Provided by flex] are review templates provided by flex by default.
You can duplicate and modify these templates to create review templates that fit your company, or create review templates that fit your company through [Add Template] in the top right!

  • Enter the template name and select the review type for the template.

  • Click [Add] to add quantitative & qualitative questions.

Name

Description

Section

Serves to divide questions within the template.

Weights can be set per section.

Description

You can leave an overall description about the review.
Example: Notes such as "This evaluation content will be used as supporting material for salary negotiations" can be added when needed. It is visible to both the writer and the recipient.

You can choose whether the answer is required or optional.

You can also enter the meaning of each score.
You can choose whether the answer is required or optional.

Grade Selection

Apply a grade template to select grades instead of scores.

Short Answer

Use for short open-ended responses.
There is no character limit, but since it displays in one line, use it when you want to encourage brief answers!

Long Answer

Use for essay-type open-ended responses.

Single Select

A multiple-choice single selection question.

Multi Select

A multiple-choice multiple selection question.

File

The review subject can attach files when writing a review.

Use this when supporting documents are needed.

Overall Grade

Use this to calculate review results as [Grades] by computing quantitative answers.
You can link a grade template when creating the review.

  • You can set weights per section & per question. Setting weights activates the overall grade, and calculates the review overall grade based on the weights.

    • Weight settings can only be configured for [quantitative questions]!

    • If section-level weights are not set, the overall grade will not be auto-calculated and the writer can set it manually, so if you want to auto-calculate the overall grade and prevent writers from modifying it, make sure to set section-level weights.

The memo in the top right is not visible to writers. When there are multiple administrators, it can be used to share the purpose and intent. Also, the template list does not currently display the creator.

If needed, use memos to record and manage the review creator.

Can I turn a previously created review into a template?

Unfortunately, we do not currently provide a feature to convert a completed review into a template.

Please refer to the previous review and create it as a template.

We recommend creating a template first before conducting a review!
