Part-time/Reduced-hour workers - just remember these 2 things and it's easy.
Set up a separate work type for part-time workers.
For part-time workers, check what to set for weekly rest hours and leave per-day base hours!
Setting Up and Applying Part-Time Worker Work Types
[Settings] → [Work Types] → [Add Type], select the [Company's Working Style] that applies to the workers, then select Worker Type - [Part-Time Work] in the basic settings.
If the part-time worker works less than 40 hours per week but has different working hours by day, you can configure this using the [Daily Work Settings] feature! Click [+ Daily Work Settings] in the upper right.
You can check the working hours and recommended break times set in the basic settings.
To add working hours different from the basic settings, click the [+ Add Work Hours] button on the left.
With daily work hour settings, you can configure the following:
Monday: Clock in between 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, work 6 hours then clock out
Tuesday: Clock in between 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, work 4 hours then clock out
Wednesday-Friday: Clock in between 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, work 6 hours then clock out
In [Per-Day Base Hours], you can set the weekly rest hours and leave per-day base hours.
What are weekly rest hours and leave per-day base hours?
For example, if someone works only 3 hours per day for 5 days a week, the weekly rest and leave per-day base hours would be determined as 3 hours. If for specific reasons you want weekly rest and leave per-day deductions to be 8 hours or another amount instead of the daily contractual working hours, you can use this setting.
This can also be used for pregnant workers on reduced hours who need leave to be calculated based on 8 hours!
With the above settings, using proportional calculation, 5 hours 36 minutes would be deducted for 1 day of leave.
Using the [Manual Input] feature, you can set how many hours are deducted when registering 1 day of leave :)
After completing the recording settings for the work type, apply the work type to the team member! The added work type can be applied by going to the team member's [Member Profile] → [Change Work Information] → select [Part-Time Work Type].
Make sure to select the effective date as the date when part-time work should start.
