In addition to legally required 'annual leave', set up leaves such as sick leave, refresh, birthday, health checkup leave, reward leave, etc. that fit your company's policies or culture.
What types of leave can be set up as custom leave?
For detailed custom leave settings, please refer to this guide. Here are 3 key points to note in particular.
[Use All at Once / Use in Parts] Option
- When [Use All at Once] is selected, if a member receives 14 days of leave and only registers 7 days, the unused 7 days will expire.
- When [Use in Parts] is selected, you can choose daily use or half-day/hourly use options. Remaining amounts can be used later.
[Paid/Unpaid Settings]: You can set the number of days and percentage for paid, unpaid, or partially paid leave.
[Approval Settings]: Approval settings can be configured per custom leave type.
Legally Required Leave
flex provides legally required leave for more convenient leave management, and descriptions of leave policies and explanations of supporting documents to be submitted when using leave are automatically configured.
Under [Settings] → [Custom Leave] → [Required], you can select leaves with a Required tag to change the payment method and usage unit, but the leave itself cannot be deleted.
Company Welfare Leave
You can set up welfare leave provided by the company in addition to annual leave and legally required leave.
If you want to set up welfare leave that is additionally granted when annual leave is exhausted, please set [Grant Method] to [Grant When Annual Leave Is Exhausted].
Sick Leave and Unpaid Leave
For sick leave, if there are no separate internal regulations, please create it as unpaid leave.
How Do I Grant Custom Leave?
It varies depending on the grant method option selected in the custom leave settings.
[Admin Direct Grant] directly grants to members, and [Grant When Annual Leave Is Exhausted] creates the leave so it can only be used once all annual leave is exhausted.
Custom leave can also be granted in bulk.
On the left, go to [Attendance Management] → [Leave Management] → Leave Balance Status tab, then click [Adjust Leave] → [Grant Custom Leave] in the top right to find Bulk Grant via Excel at the bottom.

Through the leave history feature, you can check the grant, deduction, usage, expiration, and remaining balance of leave all at once! In addition to annual leave, you can also check the leave history for reward leave, compensatory leave, custom leave, etc. granted as custom leave.
However, only 'leave granted upon tenure' and 'leave directly granted by admin' can be selected as grant policies.
