Editing and Deleting Goals

Administrators can edit and delete all goals in the company. You can manage goals individually or in bulk for convenience.

  • After selecting a goal, click the three-dot button in the top right corner.

    • You can change or unlink the connected parent goal.

    • Click [Edit Goal] to edit the details of the goal.

    • Click [Delete Goal] to delete it. Note that deleted goals cannot be restored, so please be careful.

    • Click [Add Goal] to create a new sub-goal or link an existing goal as a sub-goal.

  • On the Goals screen, hovering over a goal reveals a checkbox on the left, allowing you to select multiple goals for bulk editing and deletion.

    • You can bulk edit the start date, end date, team manager, and visibility settings.

    • Tip! You can quickly select multiple goals using the Shift key. Select the first goal, hold the Shift key, then check the last goal to select them all at once.

Creating Goal Drafts

  • When creating a goal, click [Save as Draft] at the bottom to save an upcoming goal as a draft.
Goals saved as drafts are only visible to the person who created them!

  • You can view saved goal drafts by clicking [Create Goal] - [Saved Goal Drafts] in the top right corner of the [Goals] screen.

  • On the [Saved Goal Drafts] screen, you can view all goals saved as drafts.

    • Click the three-dot button on the right to edit, duplicate, or delete a saved draft goal.

    • You can create additional draft goals by clicking [Add New Goal] on the [Saved Goal Drafts] screen.

  • You can link draft goals to each other in a parent-child relationship, or link them to already-created goals. If a team goal has already been created, try linking it to the team goal to create draft goals and prepare individual goals aligned with the team goal!

    • Once everything is ready, click the [Create Goal] button at the bottom to create the goals.

Duplicating Goals

  • If you want to create a new goal similar to an existing one, click the three-dot button on the right side of the goal and then click the [Duplicate] button to duplicate the existing goal.

    • When duplicating a goal, all data from the original goal is copied identically, except for the goal's metrics and status, sub-goals, and activity history.

    • Note that the duplicate feature is only available to administrators, the owner of the goal being duplicated, or the manager of the owner's team.

FAQ

Do members receive notifications when a goal is created/edited/deleted?

When a goal is created, edited, or deleted, notifications are sent to members associated with the goal!

  • For company goals: No separate notifications are sent.

  • For team goals: Notifications are sent to the team manager, team members, and participating members.

  • For individual goals: Notifications are sent to the owner and participating members.

Please refer to the image below.

How are partially visible goals displayed to other members?

By default, you can only view goals that are within your visibility scope.

However, if a goal needs to be shown due to the goal hierarchy structure, or if there is a goal under a parent goal within your visibility scope that you cannot view, it will appear as [Private Goal] as shown in the image below, and you will not be able to view the details.

What is the maximum number of sub-goals that can be created?

Including the top-level goal, up to 10 sub-goals can be created. This means you can create 9 sub-goals under a single goal. If you exceed 10, the + (Add) button will no longer be visible.

Can more than one owner be assigned to a goal?

The owner can only be set to one team or one individual member. Please select one representative team or member responsible for the goal, and if there are additional members involved, add them as participating members!

I updated a sub-goal, but the parent goal's progress status has not changed.

If you updated a sub-goal but the parent goal's progress status has not changed, please check the following two things.

  • Check that the update method is set to an automatic calculation method (Average Achievement Rate, Sum of Values, Average of Values). This setting must be in place for the sub-goal's progress to be reflected in the parent goal.

    • Note that for Sum of Values / Average of Values, the calculation is based on sub-goals that share the same unit of measurement.

  • If there is no issue with the update method, check whether the parent goal's progress status is set to 'Completed'. If the progress status is completed (Achieved / Not Achieved / Cancelled), the progress status will not be updated even if sub-goals change.

Can goals be linked to performance reviews?

When conducting a performance review, goals can be optionally linked through review item agreement. Please refer to the Review Item Settings Guide for more details!

What are the character limits for the goal title and description, and the file size limit for attachments?

  • The goal title can be up to 100 characters.

  • There is no separate character limit for the goal description.

  • The attachment file size limit for goals is 20MB.

Can draft goals be created even when goal creation approval is configured?

Yes, it is possible. Since draft goals are not officially created (published) goals, no approval process is triggered when creating a draft goal. However, when you attempt to officially create the goals that were saved as drafts, an approval process will be triggered if goal creation approval has been configured.
