Starting April 8, 2026, when members record attendance in flex, the actual time they clock in/out is saved separately as a real-time record. You can now see both the original clock-in/out time and the existing recognized work hours.
Understanding the Difference Between Real-time Records and Recognized Work
Before configuring, please first understand the difference between real-time records and recognized work.
Category | Recognized Work (thick bar) | Real-time Record (thin line) |
Meaning | Work hours adjusted according to company policy and law | Original time the member actually clocked in/out |
Effect of 52-hour and overtime policies | Automatically adjusted by policy | Kept as original time, unaffected |
Compensation (pay, compensatory leave, etc.) | Applied | Not applied (reference only) |
Timeline display | Thick bar (bottom) | Thin line (top) |
Below are representative examples of when the real-time record and recognized work differ.
Example: Early clock-in
Example: Early clock-in
Start time 09:00, early clock-in not allowed, clock-in tap at 08:50
Recognized clock-in time: 09:00 (adjusted by policy)
Actual tap time: 08:50 (preserved as-is)
Example: 52-hour exceeded
Example: 52-hour exceeded
Working until 16:00 would reach 52 hours for the week, overtime recording beyond statutory hours not allowed, clock-out tap at 19:00
Recognized clock-out time: 16:00 (adjusted not to exceed 52 hours)
Actual tap time: 19:00 (preserved as-is)
Example: Overtime work record
Example: Overtime work record
Regular clock-out 19:00, minimum 1 hour overtime recognized, clock-out tap at 19:16
Recognized clock-out time: 19:00 (adjusted as below policy threshold)
Actual tap time: 19:16 (preserved as-is)
Step 1: Configure Whether to Reflect Real-time Records in Recognized Work
Go to [Attendance Management] → [Work Types] → select the relevant work type → [Reflect real-time work records as member work hours] setting to choose whether real-time records at clock-out are reflected in recognized work hours.
When [Reflect real-time work records as work hours] is enabled (default):
At clock-out, real-time records are adjusted based on law and policy and reflected in recognized work.
Suitable for companies that calculate work hours based on attendance records.
When [Reflect real-time work records as work hours] is disabled:
Real-time records remain as reference data only and do not affect recognized work.
At clock-out, only the real-time record is added, and recognized work retains the existing planned time.
Suitable for companies that recognize only overtime that has been separately requested or agreed upon.
⚠️ When Reflect is OFF, recognized work undergoes only a plan → confirmed transition, separate from the clock-in/out record. The recognized work hours themselves are not changed.
Step 2: Configure Real-time Record View Permission
The Real-time Record View permission is granted only to super administrators by default. If team leaders or other members also need access, grant the permission separately.
Whether real-time work records can be viewed depends on the status of the record and the permissions held.
Record status | Required permission | Description |
In-progress records | Work view permission | Records needed for collaboration and work registration. All records within the scope of work view permission can be viewed. |
Completed/expired records | Real-time record view permission | Past records. Only records within the scope of real-time record view permission can be viewed. |
Step 3: Configure Real-time Record Edit Permission
Real-time clock-in and clock-out records do not require edit permission!
If attendance records are missed or recorded incorrectly, you can grant Real-time Work Record Edit permission so they can be corrected after the fact. Grant the permission to appropriate individuals according to your company policy.
Based on the scope of [Real-time Work Record Edit] permission, only records of members within the grantee's permission scope can be edited.
Currently, no approval process is triggered when editing real-time records (scheduled for future improvement). Therefore, it is recommended to grant real-time record edit permission only to essential administrators on a restricted basis.
Editing real-time records changes only the real-time record (thin line) independently of recognized work (thick bar), so it does not affect recognized work hours used for payroll calculation.

No. In-progress real-time records (records of currently clocked-in members) can still be checked with the existing Work View permission.

A member forgot to clock out, but instead of showing a missed clock-out, the entire real-time record disappeared. What should I check?
A member forgot to clock out, but instead of showing a missed clock-out, the entire real-time record disappeared. What should I check?
If a member forgot to clock out and the missed clock-out is not showing as it used to, check whether the [Member Real-time Work Record View] permission has been granted! Since the real-time work record (graph) and recognized work record (graph) are now separated, whether a clock-out record is missing and similar information can only be viewed as before if the Member Real-time Work Record View permission has been granted.
