New Evaluation Update

The existing 'Review' was designed to support a lightweight, frequent feedback experience for continuous performance management, and had structural limitations in meeting evaluation purposes (separating competency and performance, diversifying weighting/rating systems, relative evaluation, matrix synthesis, etc.). As a result, flex has redefined its structure from Goals/1-on-1/Review to Goals/1-on-1/Evaluation, and revamped features, terminology, and experiences to align with 'Evaluation'!

For more information on what has changed from Review to Evaluation, please refer to the guide below!

What has changed from Review to Evaluation?

  • [Evaluation Management] Administrators with this permission can click the Review menu on the left, then activate the NEW Evaluation toggle in the top right to preview the updated Evaluation features.

  • When you activate the toggle, you will see an update notice. Please read the notice carefully and type 'I have confirmed the notice'.

  • When the Evaluation preview is activated, you can view reviews that were closed in the existing legacy Review.
Clicking on a review allows you to view the closed review content from the legacy Review, change the review result sharing settings, or delete it.

  • In New Evaluation, you can use the following features!

    • You can now create your company's evaluations under the name 'Evaluation' instead of 'Review'. A new [Competency Management] menu has also been added on the left. You can register your company's competency dictionary in flex and link it to evaluations.

    • If you've conducted an evaluation with competency linked, you can publish a report with per-member comparative analysis and AI interpretation comments based on the evaluation data.

    • You can systematically register your company's competencies and agree on them individually before being evaluated. On the evaluation form, you can view the competencies and performance you agreed upon in a table.

    • Using evaluation groups, you can manage multiple evaluatees with different elements and stages in a single evaluation at once.

    • You can also write evaluations through the mobile app.

Please make sure to check the following before updating to New Evaluation!

Once updated to New Evaluation, members will no longer be able to see the [Review] menu in the left navigation.

Therefore, before updating to New Evaluation, we recommend sufficiently notifying and guiding members about where and how they can access their existing reviews, and then proceeding with the update.

  • If you wish to upgrade to the new version of Performance Management, click [Update Early] in the top right.

  • [Update Early] schedules the switch to take effect at midnight (00:00) the following day. You can cancel the update at any time before midnight the next day.

    • You can schedule a version upgrade in the product at any time before March 31, 2026.

    • Once you upgrade the version, members will also use the new version of Performance Management, and you cannot revert to the previous version.

    • When updating, you cannot update only [Review] to New Evaluation — the Goals feature will also be updated to New Goals.

    • Please review the precautions carefully before updating.

      • Reviews and calibrations that are not in a closed state at the time of the update will be deleted. This cannot be undone after the update.

      • If you do not want in-progress reviews and calibrations to be deleted, please change reviews to a closed state and calibrations to a confirmed state.

Viewing Past Written/Submitted/Shared Review Results After New Evaluation Update

  • Once updated to New Evaluation, members will no longer be able to see the [Review] menu in the left navigation.

    • Members can view their past review results in My Profile - Evaluation tab.

    • Reviews previously written and submitted can be found via Home Feed - To-do - To-do tab, filtered by [Review Writing Request] to-do type.
