Creating an Evaluation - Setting Up the Evaluation Structure

Updated today

Evaluation structure is the step where you set which evaluation elements (competency, performance, etc.) will be assessed at which evaluation stages (self-evaluation, top-down evaluation, etc.) for each evaluation target group.

The structure configured in this step is reflected in subsequent evaluation items, evaluator assignments, and grade calculations.

Setting Up the Evaluation Structure

  • In the evaluation structure, you can view the [Evaluation Stages by Element] table. In this step, you can set which stages each evaluation element will be assessed at.

    • Evaluation Group: A unit for categorizing evaluation targets. You can apply different evaluation elements to each member based on job function, job family, level, etc.

    • Evaluation Element: You can check the evaluation elements selected in Step 2 for this evaluation.

  • Click [Add Evaluation Group] at the bottom left of the evaluation group, add a group, and set conditions by group (job family, organization, position, etc.). You can then select evaluation elements for each evaluation stage by group.

    • ⚠️ Evaluation targets included in additionally created groups are automatically excluded from the default group.
In other words, each evaluation target can only be evaluated in one group.

    • There is no priority between custom groups added beyond the default group. For example, if Hong Gildong belongs to both the 'Sales' and 'Technical' job families, the admin must choose which group Hong Gildong will be evaluated in during evaluation operations. The system will display a group selection prompt for the admin, and the group selected by the admin becomes Hong Gildong's final evaluation group.

    • Based on the example image below, members not included in the Sales or Development job families will be evaluated on Common and Custom elements during self-evaluation, and Job and Performance evaluation will be conducted at the top-down evaluation stage.

  • Created evaluation groups can be edited by clicking the three-dot button on the right to rename, modify conditions, duplicate, or delete the group.

Example Scenarios for Evaluation Stages by Element

Example 1) When applying the same evaluation elements to all members across all evaluation stages:

  • Group: Default group only

  • Select the same evaluation elements (common competency, job competency, performance evaluation, etc.) for each evaluation stage

Example 2) When all members use the same evaluation elements but evaluate different elements at different stages:

  • Group: Default group only

  • Common competency is evaluated only at the peer evaluation stage

  • Leadership competency is evaluated only at the upward evaluation stage

  • Attitude (custom) evaluation element is evaluated at both peer and upward evaluation stages

Example 3) When applying different evaluation elements by job family:

  • Add [Evaluation Groups] and set group conditions. If you want to evaluate by different competencies per job family, we recommend adding competencies for each job family in [Competency Management].

    • Default group: General job family (Common competency + Performance evaluation)

    • Group 2: Development job family (Common competency + Performance evaluation + Job competency (Development job family competency))

    • Group 3: Sales job family (Common competency + Performance evaluation + Job competency (Sales job family competency))
